About The series

Production and Inspiration: Mary-Anne is a 1930s-styled black-and-white comedy series that is in the works from members of the Era Club from Design Tech High School and other high school students in the Bay Area. Mary-Anne is inspired by old Hollywood comedy such as the Thelma Todd and Patsy Kelly shorts.

Pilot: Mary and Anne are two posh and newly bankrupt sisters that are forced out of their mansion and into the streets to find work. The series follows the girls’ comedic adventures as they try out different jobs and navigate the low life of the 1930s. Will they be able to adjust to living the lower class life?

The Era Club

The Era Club was a club at Design Tech High School founded by Hannah Levin and Okalani Luna from their love of the Renaissance Fair and other historical reenactment events. Though we have all graduated, our overall mission is to continue recreating living history experiences through our current production projects.
The Era Club was a club of Design Tech High School, but we also welcome the public to be involved in the Mary-Anne productions. We have members who graduated from Sequoia High School, Woodside High School, Burlingame High School, and many more in the Mary-Anne crew.
